For sale is an Art Deco, Whiting and Davis, dimensional, silver mesh, substantial, lariat or wrap around style, nice and tight, memory wire style, snake necklace with marquis cut red glass eyes, a detailed, gold, engraved head and tail, and clamp clasp at head that controls the length of the necklace! This Egyptian revival style necklace from the past by Whiting and Davis is still edgy and stylish today!
The necklace is gorgeous and unique while remaining classic! It is comprised of a long, dimensional mesh, sterling silver, wrap around snake design, lariat necklace! It has got a large, engraved gold snake head with marquis cut red glass eyes at one end and the body wraps around your neck with a stylized, gold snake tail at the other end! The necklace is meant to wrap around your neck and thread through the clasp at the head- is long enough to be worn in a variety of ways- as a lariat, with part of the tail dangling, as a choker, or even as a wrap around bracelet! It is nice and dimensional with its graduated mesh body. This would be a great signature piece!
The necklace is obviously made by a higher end jeweler. It is a quality piece. The piece is very Art Deco in its theme, subject, style and simplicity. The piece is signed with the Whiting and Davis logo stamp and 925 for sterling. The maker's mark is under the snake's mouth. . This piece is lovely and will go with a ton of outfits and your other vintage silver pieces!

This piece is in excellent condition. I have lots of items in my store that would look great with this piece, so take a peek! I also have a lot of vintage sterling pieces, so if you like this one, I bet I have other pieces that you might like. Also, I love Whiting and Davis purses, so I have a lot listed from this era! I had the bracelet that is its mate for sale, so there are other pieces from this vintage line!
