For sale is a vintage, Pierre Balmain, brown and white, geometric, "subway" print fabric and brown leather, shoulder bag with a twist closure on top of the envelope, adjustable shoulder strap, multiple compartments and hardware Golden ! This is a unique take on a classic style that will always be in style!
The bag is a classic envelope top, shoulder style in brown and white that forms a geometric pattern that we were told depicted the intricate Paris metro! Matching brown leather frames the bag, doubles as a shoulder strap and expands at the bottom to create a much roomier bag than you think! It features an adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap, multiple compartments and gold hardware. The handbag is an earlier style by Pierre Balmain. It has a classic look that will never go out of style.
The interior is very clean suede. The only problem is a flea bite - see photos - in the fabric next to the snap. You can't see it when the handbag is closed and in use. I think it's a perfect bag for every day! I would date it as late 70s to early 80s. It is an authentic Pierre Balmain which is signed on the inside as 'Pierre Balmain Paris'.
