For sale is an early, rare, GUCCI, brown Guccissima print coated canvas and leather, XL, satchel/tote bag with an envelope snap top, expandable accordion bottom, a single heavy strap, and large gold and chrome Gucci logo horse shoes at the snap! This is a rare, collectible purse by Gucci that you will have and love forever! It is very similar to the current Ophidia styles by Gucci!
The bag is made of brown Guccissima print coated canvas and brown leather with a red and green stripe and Gucci horseshoes. It has a single wider strap with an envelope snap top in a shoulder bag, tote or satchel style that is very rare- I have only seen one other in junk condition. There is a flap, snap closure on top. The snap is a large, round, GG logo style in gold. The bottom is sort of an accordion style that expands some, so it can hold quite a bit!
It has tan, clean, almost untouched looking lining with one compartment and zip close and slot pockets to keep you organized! It predates serial numbers but has the 'Gucci and Italy' with the crest in between and was also authenticated by a third party source recommended by online stores, so buy with confidence! It has a unique, mod, high-end bohemian look only Gucci could create that will never go out of style.
Dimensions: 11" x 3" x 10"; strap drop: 13";
This piece is in excellent condition- I gave the leather a good polishing/cleaning and it looks great! There are a couple of small spots of wear/scuffs on the corners, but the purse is over 50 years old- see pictures and a second polishing would probably fix any areas of color loss. It'd be a fantastic addition to any collection!
