Gucci GUCCI 1960's 'Padlock' brown & tan leather boxy purse

For sale is a fabulous, vintage, GUCCI, 1960's, original 'Padlock' style, two tone, glossy brown & caramel leather, boxy, envelope style, shoulder purse with gold tone, 'padlock' closure! This bag is a classic purse that will never go out of style!

It has a single strap attached to the sides of the boxy, rectangular shoulder purse. The glossy leather is designed in a color block style that is so popular right now, but in a completely mod way-the front and sides are the lighter, caramel color and the back, flap, bottom and strap are the darker brown! Where the envelope top meets the lighter body, there is a really cool, 'padlock' kiss closure in gold with Gucci engraved. The bag is made with sides giving it has a kind of accordion cut for more room!

It has a very soft leather lining in tan that has should not peel. There is one interior pocket that zips close. There are some minor spots at the bottom of the interior- maybe water damage?- see pictures. The strap is adjustable and has a buckle in gold with Gucci engraved. This purse predates serial numbers and has a gold embossed plaque. It has also been authenticated by a third party source, so buy with confidence! It has a classic look that will never go out of style!

This purse is in excellent pre-owned/ vintage condition but shows signs of wear from its age, such as shallow scratches to the leather and hardware, loss of finish to hardware, wear to the lining, scuffs at the corners, wear to the strap, and an overall sense of wear.
