For sale is an early vintage, Gucci, multicolored plaid print cashmere and wool blend, 'school girl' midi skirt with knife pleats, a button up front, a sewn in lining, and Italian made quality! It is from the past, but can create the perfect edgy, modern look for you, today!
The skirt is vintage, but looks like something you could find in any high end shop or department store! The skirt is a very early piece from Gucci, as you can see from the label. It is a plaid print in shades of burgundy, green, grey, blue, and brown- the cashmere/wool blend fabric has a rich texture. The skirt is lined. It is an A-line, longer, knife pleated style that is a below the knee, midi length. The skirt is made in Italy and the tag reads size 40, which would be a US size 4/S, so please see the measurements below, because I think it has been altered/let out.
Prior to any alterations, the measurements would have been approximately:
Size: 40 IT / 4 US; Waist: 26" - 27" ; Hips: 46" loose; Length: 28":
The actual size and measurements are approximately:
Size: 12/14 or L/XL US; Waist: 34"; Hips: 52" (loose); Length: 28"
If you wanted to restore it to the original size, it would be relatively easy and consist of moving about five buttons. This skirt style is a classic, especially coming from Gucci! This skirt would be a fantastic, addition to any closet or as a great gift for someone special. I have lots of items in my store that would mix and match, beautifully, with this piece, so take a peek!
